M-Series

Premium Multi-Sensor systems combining a thermal imaging and a low light camera

The M-Series combines a thermal imaging camera with a low light camera. It provides crisp, clear thermal imagery in total darkness and light fog or smoke. Packaged in a small, ultra-compact gimbal it is designed for the most demanding maritime applications. The FLIR M-Series  is a perfect tool for night time navigation, shipboard security, man overboard situations, anti-piracy and many other applications. The FLIR M-Series is the standard for maritime thermal imaging systems against which all others are compared.

Easy-to-use Pan/Tilt system
The M-Series come standard with a remote Joystick Control Unit (JCU) to operate the Pan/Tilt. Additional JCUs, which can be used to control the M-Series from different locations on board of a vessel, are optionally available. The JCU is the primary method of control for the M-Series camera. It can be used to move the camera (pan or tilt), electronically zoom the camera in and out, switch between the thermal imaging and low light camera, adjust the image quality, and access the on-screen menus.

The M-Series control panel is fully sealed for use in a maritime environment. Just like the camera itself it meets IP66 standards. The control knob provides precise proportional speed control. Use it to have the M-Series look in the exact direction you want. The JCU Puck functions like a joystick - it can be moved left or right, or fore and aft, and it can be rotated in either direction. It can also be pressed down (like a mouse click) or pulled up. It is used to move the Pan/Tilt position of the camera and to navigate through the on-screen menus.

Navigator II

Navigator II


The Navigator II is an economic, fixed mounted thermal imager. It provides crisp, clear thermal imagery in total darkness, light fog, and smoke. It features the same thermal imaging technology found in many of FLIR's most sophisticated marine systems, but is packaged for users who have navigation as their primary application. Unlike other night vision systems that require low amounts of light to generate an image, the Navigator IIneeds no light at all. The user can choose between two different versions of the Navigator II, fixed mounted or pan-and-tilt.

Extremely affordable 

The Navigator II comes at an extremely affordable price. As from now on, price is no longer an object to use thermal imaging on board of your vessel.

Crisp thermal images 

The Navigator II provides crisp, clear thermal imaging, 320 x 240 pixels. This allows the user to see more detail and detect more and smaller items.

Wide-angle lens 

The Navigator II is equipped with a 19 mm wide angle lens. Not only does it give you an extremely wide field of view (36°), it also eliminates the need for stabilization of the system.

Different versions available 

The Navigator II comes in two different versions:

- Static: This is a fixed mount version of the Navigator II. Once installed, it is always looking in the same direction.
- Pan/Tilt: Apart from rotating +/- 180°, this version also has the possibility of tilting +/-45° through joystick operation. This way the operator can scan an entire area and look wherever he wants.

Designed for use in harsh maritime environments 

The Navigator II is an extremely rugged system. Its vital core is well protected, IP66 rated, against humidity and water. The Navigator II can be cleaned with a hose just like any other equipment. The Navigator operates between -25°C and +55°C.

Remote control panel 

The Navigator II Pan/Tilt comes standard with a remote control panel with integrated joy stick to operate the Pan/Tilt.

Easy-to-use pan and tilt system 

The Navigator II Pan/Tilt is equipped with intuitive joystick control which allows the captain to see +/-180° horizontal and/or +/-45° vertically. This offers excellent situational awareness. The pointing direction of the Navigator II will be indicated on your screen so that you always know in which direction the camera is looking.

Lightweight 

Extremely lightweight, both versions of the Navigator II can be installed at any position on board. They can be mounted at an optimal observation point providing maximum field of view.

Easy-to-install 

Both versions of the Navigator II are extremely easy to integrate on board of a yacht. The images from the Navigator’s 320 x 240 pixels detector can be displayed on virtually any existing multifunction (i.e. chart plotter) display that accepts composite video.

Voyager II

Reliable night vision instrument for marine applications

Voyager II is a powerful, multi-sensor, mid range thermal night vision system, specifically designed for marine applications. It features two thermal imaging cameras and one daylight / low light camera. One thermal imager has a wide angle field of view and is ideal for navigation and situational awareness. The other, with the narrow field of view, allows the user to zoom in on objects that are very small or far away. The Voyager II overlays these images to provide a high resolution image without losing broad situational awareness.


Crisp thermal images – 320 x 240 pixels 

The Voyager II provides crisp, clear thermal imaging, 320 x 240 pixels, in total darkness, smoke and light fog. It allows you to see small details and detect more and smaller objects at further distance.

Advanced internal camera software 

Delivers a crisp image without the need for user adjustments. The Voyager II provides high quality thermal imaging in any night or daytime environmental conditions.

Uncooled system 

Both thermal cameras in the Voyager II use an uncooled microbolometer detector producing a 320 x 240 pixels high resolution image. An uncooled system means that there are no moving parts which virtually eliminates downtime and maintenance.

Two thermal imaging cameras 

The Voyager II is equipped with two separate thermal imaging cameras. One has a 35 mm (20° field of view) wide angle lens, the other is equipped with a 140 mm (5° field of view) narrow field of view lens.

Continuous zoom

The Voyager II features a completely new concept in image presentation based on the foveal vision of the human eye. Foveal vision allows the operator to enjoy a wide angle view for situational awareness while maintaining a high resolution area in the center of the screen for object identification and tracking. The Voyager II accomplishes this with two independent thermal cameras and a unique patented image processing technique that provides both the foveal imaging mode as well as a continuous zoom between the wide and narrow fields of view.

Integrated long range daylight / low light camera with continuous zoom 

By the touch of a button you can switch between the infrared and the daylight / low light camera. It provides you additional information and identification when conditions permit.

Designed for use in harsh maritime environments

The corrosion resistant housing protects drive motors and ensures long life. The Voyager II operates between -25°C and +55°C. The Voyager II has a built-in heater to defrost its protective window. This ensures a clear lens and good quality infrared images displayed on your monitor even in extremely cold environments.

Advanced gyro-stabilization 

The Voyager II is gyroscopically stabilized. The system compensates for practically any sea-state and allows you to see a steady image even in rougher waters.

Fast, precision Pan/Tilt system

Thanks to its precision, fast, pan and tilt system, the Voyager II allows for easy following of fast moving vessels or other objects.

Joystick control unit (JCU) 

The Voyager II comes standard with a Joystick Control Unit (JCU) to operate the pan and tilt, switch between thermal / daylight image and focus / autofocus , zoom in and out.

Radar Connection – “slew-to-cue” 

The Voyager II can be connected to a radar system in a so-called “slew-to-cue” configuration. The Voyager II is able to identify and track radar targets by using the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) 0183 protocol. The NMEA 0183 protocol allows the camera to automatically point towards vessels and other objects that show up on the radar display and to track their movement. When enabled, this means that if the radar detects an object, the Voyager II will automatically turn in the right direction and follow the object, so that you can see what the blip on you radar screen really means. 

Easy-to-install 

Various options exist to connect the Voyager II. It can be configured for stand alone use or optionally as part of a TCP/IP network:
- Stand alone use:
Simply connect the Voyager II over the Joystick control unit. A video cable can be connected to any multi-function display that accepts composite video.
- Remote control over TCP/IP
The Voyager II can easily be connected to any TCP/IP network so that you can control your camera from any location in the world over the internet. It allows you to see the images produced by the Voyager II at any location on your vessel. You can check on you vessel wherever you are in the world, without being on board.

HM series


The HM-Series are handheld shock-resistant thermal imaging cameras. They produce a crisp image in the darkest of nights. The HM-Series will dramatically increase your situational awareness. Crisp thermal images
The HM-224 produces thermal images of 240 x 180 pixels. The HM-324 and HM-307 produce thermal images of 320 x 240 pixels on which the smallest of details can be seen. All cameras are equipped with advanced internal camera software that delivers a crisp image without the need for user adjustments.
Choice of lenses
The HM-224 and HM-324 provide a 24° field of view. This offers an excellent combination of range performance and situational awareness. For longer range performance, they can be equipped with a 2X extender which offers a 12° field of view. Users that want to see even farther can choose the HM-307. It offers a 7° field of view.
Extremely portable and rugged
The HM-Series are extremely compact and extremely light systems. They are ideal for go-anywhere operations, in all circumstances. They are IP67 rated.
Easy-to-operate
Ergonomic and easy-to-use, the HM-Series are fully controlled with just 5 buttons on top of the unit. Conveniently placed the backlit buttons are all right underneath your fingertips.
